Collection: 'ISLE OF CRUEL TIDES'

'Isle of Cruel Tides'. Spring Summer 2023

Reminiscent of our experience of late, we remain optimistic about the sun soaked days beyond, creating our island print, a floating oasis of summer motifs and inviting the wearer on holiday, stating 'wish you were here' as the ultimate tease.

Steadfast in signature codes, we also introduce an array of summer hues - another nod to the upbeat attitude we defy relinquishing. Floating silhouettes, voluminous tulle skirts and embroidered kimono wraps add playfulness to a collection that otherwise remains Salasai to the core; with two-piece linen suiting, oversized unisex shapes and darker modes of dressing.

Colours and motifs echo the duality of island life: sun-washed sands, pale driftwood, washed-out turquoise, muted corals, and soft whites — contrasted by richer tones like deep aqua, dusky rose, and shadowed teal. Prints capture a floating, surreal energy: abstract palms, ghosted tropical flora, soft gradients of sea and sky, and painterly textures that seem to shift under light. These prints evoke a sense of nostalgia — as if you’re remembering a coastline you once visited in a dream.

Textures are chosen for their ease and flow. Light cottons, breathable linens, airy silks, and layered tulles — each piece built to move, to breathe, to inhabit warmth. The garments don’t cling; they drift, they ripple, they catch wind.

Details remain delicate and unassuming: soft gathers, subtle embroidery, tonal stitching, and relaxed seams that whisper rather than shout. It’s style that doesn’t demand attention — it carries it, gently.

ISLE OF CRUEL TIDES is for the wanderer, the day-dreamer, the soul that carries summer in memory even in the off-season. It’s for those who walk slowly, wander freely, and let their silhouette drift with the tides.

An island imagined. A memory worn. A summer suspended in soft fabric and gentle light.
